We have received reports that The United Kingdom has established a visa centre in Enugu, South East Nigeria.
According to reports, this development was confirmed in a commendation message signed by the secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.
In the statement, Enugu State government said the visa centre in the state will facilitate visa applications by residents in the state, the South-East zone, and the country at large.
Prof. Onyia, recalled that the visa centre was part of Governor Peter Mbah’s earlier requests during the visit to the Government House, Enugu, by the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, in June this year.
From 13 September 2023, the high British commission in Nigeria has announced the opening of a new temporary submission center for the UK -Visa in Enugu state. A committee declaration states that the structure will operate from the Omodel Luxury Hotel 4/6 Link Road of Pascal and Jerk Bus Stop Independence Layout Enugu. The center should offer services twice a week. With the appointment system, an applicant can select Enugu as a place of the application when it requires a British visa. This is at the top of the current positions in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt. The temporary filing center in Enugu opens as a premium location, meaning it costs N246,250.00, which includes a premium lounge appointment, courier return, SMS notifications, general customer support and guidance. Demand for visa services will be carefully monitored and services will be revised if there are sufficient volumes. The Enugu Center will be on trial for at least three months to assess acceptance of the service and enable decisions on continuation.
